Six columns, and not one of them has been filled in yet. This is the consolidated view the moment an assessment exists and no monitoring state has been saved against it. Every cell names the particular thing that has not happened instead of showing a blank, a dash, or a zero standing in for an absence. Two of them genuinely are zero — risks and events are counts, and nought is a true count. The other four are not numbers at all: Not assessed is a thesis state you have not chosen, Not recorded is a decision you have not saved, Not set is a date you have not picked, and Latest event not recorded is the absence of a filing or a note against this name. Nothing is defaulted to something more comfortable, and no row is hidden until it becomes interesting.
The first cell reads “Company”, not “FLWS”. The roll-up row falls back to the column’s own label because no display name has been stored on the monitoring record itself — the ticker in the header above comes from the assessment, not from this row. It is reproduced exactly as the product renders it and left alone: quietly substituting the ticker here would make the table look finished while hiding that the roll-up carries a field the product never filled. Worth a look in build.

Design proposal

Both states above are captured: an empty roll-up, and a roll-up holding one assessment with nothing saved against it yet. Neither could show how the surface reads once several assessments are genuinely being monitored, which is what this section proposes. The copy below is written, not quoted.

The four companies below are fictional placeholders. None of them is FLWS and none of the figures, filings or dates attached to them is a claim about any real company — they exist to show a populated portfolio roll-up, and a portfolio holds more than the assessment you happen to have open.

Every cell is something you saved. Thesis state and next review come from the monitoring state you wrote on each assessment; decision comes from that assessment’s own record; risks and events are counts of rows, not weights. Nothing in this table is ordered by importance and no row is highlighted — the sort is the review calendar, and it changes when your dates do.

SOURCED 12 Jun 2026 · Northwind Freight · Q1 FY26 results, 8-KOperating ratio 84.4%, up 40 bps year on year. Tonnage +2.1%. Management attributes 25 bps to a terminal relocation completed in the quarter. Counted against the trigger you wrote, because you wrote it about this metric.
YOURS 18 Jun 2026 · Northwind Freight · Your monitoring noteOne quarter, and the relocation is disclosed, dated and quantified. My trigger asks for two consecutive quarters, and I am not going to quietly reinterpret it now that it is close. State stays Under review.
SOURCED 24 Jun 2026 · Cascade Rail Services · 8-KLong-term haulage contract with its largest shipper not renewed. This is the event named in your own invalidator, which is why the state reads Changed and the review moved to 11 August.
AI SUMMARY 02 Jul 2026 · Ridgeline Logistics capacity release, condensedPeer announces 12 Northeast terminals over 24 months, funded by a $340m raise. Attached to Northwind because you asked for competitor capacity to be surfaced. Unverified paraphrase — open the release and the call.
SOURCED 21 Jul 2026 · Northwind Freight · PriceNWF $128.40, down 9.6% from the $142.10 on your decision date. Listed as a fact of the record and nothing else: it did not raise a prompt, it did not move a state, and it did not change a review date.
What put each line here: a filing you follow, a note you wrote, or a source you asked to be watched. The last line is the rule at the top of this page, shown working — a 9.6% fall sits in the timeline as an observation and generates no prompt, because a price is not evidence about a business.
